The 81st Troop Carrier Squadron flew in Operations Overlord, Dragoon, Market-Garden, and Varsity. The squadron also flew multiple supply missions throughout their time in Europe.
Be sure to check back for updates!

| An example of a C-47 Crew Chief in flight gear. Pictured here are the B-2 Flight Cap, B3 "Mae West" Life Vest, & ETO Jacket worn over HBT Coveralls & Wool Shirt/Trousers.
The Crew Chief was part of the average flight crew joining the pilot, co-pilot, & radio operator on the plane. He keep his crew's C-47 flight worthy. During airborne operations, he may assist the paratroopers exiting the plane as well as pushing out supply bundles. | |
